2008年2月9日「華語文循級識打檢定考」
為了提供華語文學習者一有效評量檢測，做為新的一年進階學習或求職的依據，「電腦學中文教育學會」將於2008年2月9日（星期六）下午兩點到五點，在大都會廣場二樓「都會學苑」的電腦教室舉辦「華語文循級識打檢定考」，採隨到隨考方式，測試內容按日常生活主題及常用高頻字數，分八個等級進行檢測。測試使用的電腦為PC及標準鍵盤，考生可選擇正體字或簡體字、漢語拼音或注音符號輸入。測試費用每人每級五元加幣。請上網瞭解詳情：http://www.ecompuchinese.org/。近年來由於中國的經濟起飛，帶動全球漢語學習熱潮持續加溫，華語文逐漸成為海外學生必修課目及職場人士必備技能。而就全球使用人口來說，如果能夠掌握中文、英文及電腦這三種通用的語言，無形中也就掌握了最大的優勢。
海外學習華語文，由於大環境不同，學習動機不同，課程時數有限，加上使用教材不一，常造成教師、家長及學生評量華語文能力的困難。常見的例子是，學生修習中文數年後，可能會聽、會講，但不識字；也可能會看、會寫，但拿掉拼音符號後，就讀不出字來或是難以開口，無法達到語言學習的基本目標。語文既以「溝通」為主，除了能聽得懂，可以「口頭」順暢表達己意以外，也應達成看得懂，以「書面」來進行溝通的學習目標。現今的「書面」溝通既然多以電腦進行，無論上網搜尋或以簡訊、電子函往來，舉凡生活所需的種種資訊及應用，都離不開中文輸入，因此，華語文的「聽說讀打」能力自然成為進入職場，打入全球華人市場必備的「專業技能」。2007年5月9日初次在美國舉辦的大學先修中文課程能力檢定考AP ( Advance Placement )，即因應此趨勢及需求，第一次以電腦中文輸入取代紙筆來進行寫作測試。
考生參加「華語文循級識打檢定考」不僅需要認識漢字、知道讀音，還要會使用正確的漢語拼音或注音符號，以準確的聲調輸入；更重要的是，由於漢字同音字、形似字多，還需眼明手快地「辨字」及「選字」，才能提高識打正確率及速度。
「華語文循級識打檢定考」是以日常生活所需的高頻率使用單字、詞彙及語詞句型作為出題範圍，一共八級，每級約一百字，加上衍生的詞彙共約兩千餘。如果考生能達到第八級的程度，即表示可以看得懂市面上百分之八十的中文報刊。
由於「華語文循級識打檢定考」旨在鼓勵參加，增添學習者的信心及興趣，因此學會特在網站上刊登每級單字詞彙表，藉著每年檢測應試的誘因，讓學生循級複習所學，實際運用，而達到「年年檢測，年年進步」的目的。查詢電話：（905）305-1778 / （416）299-4616
